General Rules and Agreement

This is an online forum, and we expect you follow common sense and standard online forum and blog etiquette.

Detailed rules are as follows:

1. Follow the Golden Rule. Respect the content and viewpoints of others on the forum—if it isn’t something you’d want written to you or about you, don’t write it to or about someone else.

2. Stay on topic. When replying to a post, keep the content of your response the same subject as that of the original post.

3. Post only your own original content. The GLC policy on plagiarism applies to forum content.

4. Do not post personal, private information (no telephone numbers, addresses, or links to online profiles).

5. No advertising or commercial activity of any kind.

Posts or comments in violation of these rules will not go live. Violators may, depending on the severity of the situation, have their rights to post or view forum pages revoked.

Engaging in any of the following activities will result in your immediate and permanent expulsion from the GATE forum:

1. Use of profane language or obscene content

2. Discrimination and/or insults based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or political views

3. Bullying

4. Any illegal activity

Participation in the GATE Forum is a privilege. All posts, uploads, and comments are subject to review and approval, and abuses will not be tolerated.
